The Big Scoop

Green Day may say, “Wake me up when September ends,” but September is also the season of changing colors, cooler weather, and, of course, the season of the Chiefs, so there’s plenty going on.  As the temperature refuses to drop, it may seem like we’re enduring a never-ending summer, but “summertime can never last,” so cooler days and football plays are on their way.

The Golden Scoop is ready for football season, with an assortment of of Chiefs-red merch, including long and short-sleeved t-shirts, collared red (or blue) Golden Scoop-branded shirts (which we wear as uniforms in the store!) and even red-and-yellow pullover sweatshirts for the colder days.  If you haven’t grabbed one already, make sure to get one…or two or three.  I personally recommend the sweatshirts; they’re soft and warm, perfect for those who run a little cold in the fall months!

“If people could wear our merch to [Chiefs] games, that would be great,” said shift manager Anastasia Walter.  “All of it!” she said, when I asked how much merchandise we were hoping to sell in the coming months.  Anastasia noted that The Golden Scoop has recently been promoting its merchandise on our social media channels, so definitely snag one before Game Day!

If some of those people make the decision to wear those shirts and sweatshirts to the Chiefs games to show their Golden Scoop pride, we couldn’t be happier!  (Or even just wearing them in the comfort of their living rooms while watching the games on TV.  That would be fine, too.  Oh, and make sure to grab some Golden Scoop ice cream for dessert during game day parties—I recommend Charlie’s Chocolate.)

September is Chiefs season, but it’s also the season of The Golden Scoop!  So, when you’re looking to show your Chiefs pride this September, October, and November, why not show a little Golden Scoop pride at the same time?  Every shirt you wear is a public showing of your ongoing support of The Golden Scoop and the unique people who work there.
