The Big Scoop

Here's the straight truth: A business like The Golden Scoop—or any organization, really—is built squarely on the shoulders of the people who work there.  Management and the C-suite may run a company, but it's the everyday employees who are the true engine keeping everything running—and running smoothly, at that.

Bella is an excellent example of one of those employees, right here at The Golden Scoop!  Since coming to us two years ago, Bella has been a familiar face to hundreds of customers each year, serving coffee, scooping ice cream, and working the drive-thru lane.  She also assists with catering events and fulfilling catering orders.

"I interact with customers in the store and drive thru. I serve ice cream, make coffee, and prepare the catering orders. I like to do as many task lists as I can until my shift is over," says Bella.

Before coming to The Golden Scoop, Bella worked at a grocery store for three years.  We're glad to help her make use of those skills in her current role, while also helping her gain new ones!  Bella now does catering events and was once even interviewed on TV about The Golden Scoop!

When asked what her favorite thing about working at The Golden Scoop is, Bella's answer was simple: "I like making people happy."

Being a part of the team means making friends on that team, and Bella has excelled with this, saying, "I have made a lot of friends at work. I'm friends with everyone and I like working with the managers."

Bella is enthusiastic about her work, but even more enthusiastic about what The Golden Scoop means to her: "I want to stay at the Golden Scoop forever because it's fun, we have dance parties and I love the mission . . . It's a great place to be independent, learn a lot and have a great team," she says.

Bella regularly attends employee events, like movie nights and team-builders, even saying that "[she] helped plan some of the employee parties and team building events."

When asked what her future plans are, Bella says this: "I hope to be a mentor in the future at The Golden Scoop."
