On 2/14, some of us were happily watching a movie next to that special person…while some of us were just as happily watching a movie with our cats. Our Super Scoopers got in on the fun by creating Valentine’s Day cards for their friends and families! Two of our Occupational Therapy (OT) student volunteers hosted a card-making event, and as you can see below, it was a lot of fun!

Some Scoopers made cards to friends present at the event, reading them aloud. Our volunteer OT hosts, Abby and Clare, also used the event to demonstrate proper behavior between friends, families, coworkers, and the public, and staged several scenes, such as one where “Abby the worker” happily gave “customer Clare” a hug, which they then explained was an inappropriate workplace interaction.
It was a fun, informative event, and Super Scoopers got to take home a valentine (or more!) to their friends, family, or just maybe…a special somebody.
