The skills and abilities differ from position to position. Here is a summary of the types of duties performed by our Super Scoopers. NOTE: all employees are expected to be cross trained in multiple duties.
Baker: follow recipes to make specific products, experience with various baking equipment, ability to assess the quality of each finished product to ensure the quality meets standards for sale to customers, keep the baked goods case stocked, maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Barista: take orders, answer questions about flavors, prepare and service coffee and baked goods to customers, package coffee for sale when inventory is low, restock supplies, maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Ice Cream Producer: fulfill customer ice cream orders, answer questions about flavors, gather desired containers from display freeze and present to customer, replenish a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings to maintain display case inventory, manage tasks to prepare ice cream for sale (stickering lids, dating cups, scooping ice cream into containers, ensure everything is presentable for customers).
Customer Service: greet customers upon arrival, thank customers upon departure, stock/straighten/inventory merchandise (apparel, drinkware, candles, dog treats, seasonal items) when not interfacing with customers.
General Cleaning: maintain clean tables, utensils, dishware, machines, floors, etc. to ensure the shop is always presentable to customers.
